Artesunate Pyrimethamine Sulfadoxine tablets

Artesunate Pyrimethamine Sulfadoxine Tablets were first created owing to the high rates of failure of chloroquine while treating falciparum malaria. Today, the drug is widely available in the market under the name of Lifart kit and consists of 50 mg of Artesunate, 25 mg of Pyrimethamine and 500 mg of Sulphadoxine. The kit is used as a first line drug for the treatment of plasmodium falciparum as ACT or artemisinin based combination therapy(AS + SP).
